The app has three sections: the ancient inhabitants, the palace, the City Council.
Developing new content, such as that for the city council, was a rewarding experience for us: it was satisfying to develop a game that explains how our institutions work. With a simple game, it becomes clear who works in the city council and how things are decided there.
The app consists of several sections: historical figures, the building and the city council.
In the historical figures section, you can hear the voices of some of the people who have contributed to the history of Palazzo Marino, for example, the banker Tommaso Marino and the architect Galeazzo Alessi. Through their eyes, we learn about key aspects of the building’s history.
The Palace section opens a window onto some of the rooms that can be visited at Palazzo Marino, and each one has a dedicated game. You can decorate the courtyard, have a close-up view of the frescoes in Sala Alessi, and find out what a certain Marianna does.
In the City Council section, we meet the Mayor, the councillors and elected council members, who explain their roles and functions, and we also attend a vote of the council.
